Jordan Brand plans flagship store in DTLA (with rooftop basketball court)

Foot Locker is taking the Jordan Brand—Michael Jordan's imprint of Nike shoes—and planning a massive flagship store for the Broadway Corridor in downtown L.A., reports Urbanize LA.
The documents depict a shoe store that also acts as a fitness center. Not only will there be about 8,000 square-feet of retail space spread over two floors, there'll also be an "exercise room" and locker room on the second floor, as well as an (!) open-air basketball court on the roof that comes replete with a set of bleachers for your family to sit and watch you get schooled by younger kids. What's also cool about the court is that parts of it will be transparent, which means the court will also act as a skylight for the level beneath.
The documents also show that planners are trying to preserve much of the building's original facade ornamentation—they intend to put the logo (of Jordan going for a dunk) over a window, as putting it over the "parapet area would obscure important historic details."
As the store is still in its planning stages, there's no concrete word yet on when it will arrive. In the meantime you should start working on that crossover.
